Peter Cox Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Lovely weather we're having lately, don't you think?
Bazzer Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 the leon video was clear cut .......... i may have been harsh but its pointless not admitting you screwed up. Tact is the word for it I think a lot of things, about some of the things people post on here, but I don't always rip them to shreds. Only the ones I know can take it Interestingly my first post in this thread was not aimed at you Cheers Bazzer
Guest Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 i was well aware of that bazza........ but you would be amazed at how much bul**** there is around and i for one will always call it like it is ......... sometimes being harsh helps people understand what not to do next time . lifes tough ,you just have to try and live with the fall out sometimes and i for one have broad shoulders.
oioi Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 jackal - im really glad your okay donkey - thanks, please come again harv - the thing that really wound me up, and probably a lot of others, was I read the first page of this thread as "feel my wedge, dont do track days until youve got my cash, youll die unless youve got my cash". I know that wasnt your intention, but thats how it read to me. saddleworth I`m glad i have a full cage harv as he sais himself the 800 quid cage and 400 quid helmet made him feel glad thats what he had ....... saddleworth What`s money when you could end up harv i think thats always been my point .......... to those of us who have spent 5k on a car and can afford to do 4-5 track days a year and not a lot more than that the holier than thou attitude is incredibly frustrating. for me the decision to spend 1200 quid on helemt and cage or do my annual track mileage is an easy one. If i asked you to not do any track days for a year to make some safety upgrades that I say are essential would you OiOi ps donkey - thanks, please come again
Gromit Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 right, that stuff asside, scott beeland seems to have absolutly zero brain, for two reasons, (1) cleary he has no clue how to respond to such a thread and (2) I am supprised nobody had taken the oppotunity to show him the error of his ways so far in his life. Eeek, I hope you never end up in his casualty unit. Hails taxi to avoid incoming fire.
Peter Cox Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 seems somewhat strange to me that you are all arguing about basic saftey stuff, yet seem to have not a clue about what it all does/means... for example, bike helments are not the same as motorsport car helmets, they ahve different requirments, hence the use of Snell and other tests regimes. the BS ones are now all banned by the FIA and MSA only allow ONE BS type now, that that HAS to be 6658 type A/FR, (NOT type A), this will expire soon also. right, that stuff asside, scott beeland seems to have absolutly zero brain, for two reasons, (1) cleary he has no clue how to respond to such a thread and (2) I am supprised nobody had taken the oppotunity to show him the error of his ways so far in his life. if you ever have the hmiss-fortune to have an 'off', I for one would not be arsed to p*** on you, let alone offer any help or simpathy. Welcome to the boardroom. Have you sent your subs off yet. [aside] Troll [/aside]

Boomy Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 how bizarre...it's actually 2 pancakes And they look like they are trying to say something!
Phil. S Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I have been following the WSCC boardroom for only 7months, and less avidly other 7 sites (locostbuilders and blatchat). This sort of debate seems to me to be a uniquely WSCC phenomenon, (I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am wrong about this), and it is not exactly a featuure to be proud of. At times it is almost like a Monty Python sketch: A: "I wouldn't go on a track without a motorsport helmet and a cage" B: "I wouldn't go on a track without a motorsport helmet, a cage, and a nomex race suit". C: "A and B are mad! I wouldn't go on a track without a motorsport helmet, a cage, a nomex race suit, and nomex gloves". D: "C is just crazy! What about your face? All of the above plus a nomex balaclava". E: "Does no-one care about their ankles! I wouldn't go on a track without a motorsport helmet, a cage, nomex race suit, gloves, balaclava, AND SOCKS" And so on, ad nauseam. C'mon guys, give it a rest. (I know I'm going to regret contributing to this.)
Phil. S Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Seems while I was writing the above things took a turn for the better: well lighter. Nice pancakes!
StuartMackay Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Are the pancakes glued together with syrup? Are they snell approved Bunny protection?? Or just a Watership Down aerodynamic aid?? What was the link to the video...couldnt get the link to work??
Gromit Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Looks like the original links been pulled. Pancakes are useless unless you do the chin strap up.
