no al because if you watch his video carefully you can see like the last one why it happened .......

it may also help you understand that if you plant your foot when there is no grip a car will spear sideways .

on this occation a car had dropped coolant on the exit to eau rouge and the entry to radion moments before he arrived .

Ouch, an object lesson to stay in the car too I think! Things could have been a lot worse...

staying in the car and letting the marshals deal is the best thing but rarely is it easy for you to do in the heat of the moment .....

I`m glad i have a full cage ???

add decent roll cage padding if you have not got any .a close look shows how the rock hard padding we have absorbed the impact , the helmet not has a soft patch where it also impacted ........ as he sais himself the 800 quid cage and 400 quid helmet  made him feel glad thats what he had .......

Explain to me why you have a problem scott ......you all seem to try and find different reasons  when the subject is brought up to ignore safety .

It was posted with permission of the driver to give you some guidence ,and as saddleworth points out you can't put a value on safety .

You make your own choices as everyone has a different budget but safety will always come under the rule that says the best you can afford and if you can't then don't take the risk .

i am in the mood to argue this if you wish but i think the video speaks for itself don't you?

remember that was slow speed cooling down lap incident. the sort of speed you might find on a road for example .

In fact scott , don't bother pm'ing me to ask about things because you obviously don't value the view given .

And for what its worth i think a cage for track use is a must in our type of car if you value your safety and anything less than an RAC bar is almost suicidal.

or shall i invite Mr morris over so post incident you can ask his view i'm sure i know what his his view is .

Maybe he is glad he spent £400 on his lid...But does he know it's any better than a £150 lid??

Believe me...I have seen heads that have hit the tarmac in allsorts of Helmets at speed....and £150 or £1500 it doesn't make a great deal of difference to where you're brain contents end up.

If it's a well cared for/damage free helmet AND type approved to an established standard it'll be fine
