Madness kit Throttle Body upgrade

Recommended Posts

Posted

Would like throttle bodies but unfortunately I'm buying a 2.0L Zetec so will have to make other arrangements

This stuff will fit a 2.0l Zetec just fine...

Having just skim read the thread again, I can't see anywhere where TB size is mentioned. I assume they'll be 45's, (Mat, Kerry?) which if they are, means that the bodies and ECU will be suitable for the vast majority of engines except for the really high oputput Vx's and Cosworths.

Update from Mark

7 deposits received - need one more guys ;)

TB's are 40mm at the head side 45 inlet and 120 long.

So does that mean they're 40s or 45s?

Perhaps they're 42.5's :D:D

Er, I thought they were DCOE type TB's that were on order? They don't taper, or at least, I didn't think they tapered ???

Part number?

Could it be tapered, ram pipe thingies??

Anyone interested in these kits, Both me and Kerry S as well as a few others. :D

Will be at Donny this weekend, so if are interested but still undecided make sure you find us so we can press gang you into joining this Bulk Buy.

Mat, you could always buy the extra one you need to get the bulk buy going and then sell it on ebay. :p:p:D:D:D:D

Infact so could any WSCC member..... but that's hardly the point is it!

There will be another person out there who wants to do this....

Unlikely. They taper much more than 2.5mm fron top to bottom. Well, the ones you *should* be fitting do...

I would say that they're 40's. Jenvey site says that "...45mm bodies and below are 45mm at the intake end..."

I also have another question. Am I right in thinking that WF will need to have the ECU & TPS together in order to 'pair' them?

According to their site the TBP40i is the same price as the TBP45i. So why would you choose the 40's?

Will know tomorrow if finances will work, so assuming it does, is it just a case of sending a cheque for £360 (payable to Westfield Sportscars?) to Mark Walker at this stage?  then balance of £840 before delivery of the hardware?

...and ???

No need to send a cheque, just phone Mark or Chad and give them your flexible freinds details.

Kerry,

Who's No.7 ???

Can I call them tomorrow then? Looks like it's a yes from me :)

GOOD MAN!!, does that mean you're lucky No.8  :D

Chad is usually there on a Saturday, but they're only open in the morning. Just ask for him or Mark (01384 400077).

Mark said, today that he'd be in Saturday morning, dunno who'll be on reception, Judy usually goes to the shows; BTW there's a show on at Donington tomorrow :p

There a grand party tent up and ready for WSCC folks to come and say hello - assuming it's still there tomorrow that is, 'twas a bit windy this evening. Brillaint view of the track tho'

Edit: No Westfield prescence at Donington, 'cept us of course. About 30 cars today, more on Sunday?
