Flappa Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Guys, Help me out here, if I'm gonna swing this I need some ammunition for when I talk to the big boss about it (hopefully later today, if the mood is right). How much of a saving is this REALLY, what would WF charge for this lot under normal circumstances? I wear the trouser in my house.....because she tells me to Quote
MAT1800 Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Flappa, I'm not sure about WF, but if you look through the likes of Demon Tweeks Magazine, TB kits are at least £2k. And there is usually more parts needed. Hope that helps. Mat. Quote

The deal includes SWMBO taking my daughter to Disneyland Paris next year and me doing the washing and ironing after our family holiday to Florida next year. SWMBO drives a hard bargain . I'm sure it will be worth it though HTH Flappa. John. Quote

I wear the trouser in my house.....because she tells me to As Mat has said, the Westfield deal represents a saving of around 800 quid, *and* you get to keep the Westfield warranty, if that is a consideration. *And*, regardless of future upgrades, you'll never need a new ECU or any induction system parts ever again 'cos what you get will work no matter how mad you wanna go with the power output... well, unless you turbo it... KerryS Posted October 9, 2005 Author Posted October 9, 2005 Flappa Tell her it'll be an investment in the future. If you ever had to sell the car it'd be worth £3k more with the modification and it's ONLY £1200. Since you'll never sell it and no-one wanted it last time did they because it hadn't got TBs she might believe you On the other hand....... Kerry S Quote
Flappa Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Since you'll never sell it ....and no-one wanted it last time Kerry, Never say never.....and plenty of people wanted it, they just wanted it for stupid money. So how many are in now? Quote
KerryS Posted October 9, 2005 Author Posted October 9, 2005 I think 4 have paid their deposit, there should be one more definite - then there's you..... Kerry S Quote
BEN99W Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I'm very probably going to join this too. However I'll need to slightly alter the order from westfield because I'll need the ECU and wiring loom, but not the Manifold as i'll have to have one custom made. For the record my unit is a 130 spec zetec of '94 vintage exactly as lifted out of an XR3i. Still scratching about to ensure the funds are available... Quote
KerryS Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 Ben Good news, more the merrier! Suggest you check with Mark about the bits you want/don't want. Get your £360 off to him then. Kerry S Quote
MAT1800 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 You're too quick for me today Kerry..... Ben, do as he suggests, talk to Mark then get your order in, it's a good deal, so good you can't miss out!! Mat. Quote
BEN99W Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 You don't need to encourage me guys - when my engine was opened up earlier in the year to cure an oil starvation problem I bit the bullet and had a big valve head and some sportier cams thrown in too. But without TBs I know I'm not getting any more performance so I need 'em to justify the earlier expense!! I must have the most expensive 130bhp engine going I'll speak to Mark today. Ben Quote
MAT1800 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Well Done Sir! We must be getting close to the minimum order number now. Although it doesn't stop anyone else taking advantage of this cracking deal! Mat. Quote
