Blatman
I reckon the Pinto is weighing in at around 600-620Kg's. Who cares about weight! Its a fibreglass shell, what more could you ask? Gotta love newbies Unless you have race bodywork, the fibreglass shell can be pretty heavy. We *all* care about weight. As a BEC owner, you should care the most... The only reason I think this is that it says he is just under his user name Dare I suggest a search

Blatman
Blimey it was only a bit of teasing, and based on an incorrect assumption by me 'cos I didn't check who the poster was carefully enough. I've been "here" since around 1999 when the old boardroom was around (who remembers that?), and a WSCC member since 1989. By comparison, most of you are newbies Well, with the exception of Mark Stanton... Pont of order 4. Try not to analyse humour too deeply. If you do, you'll find that it always offendes some-one... SteveRST
Thanks for your info guys. Popular opinion seems to be around 600-650 kg then. Just wanted to get a good idea from everyone, as I had no idea really of how much it weighs. People ask and I usually say about 700kg. ..Well OK, there was an ulterior motive too. I've just borrowed one of these G-tech performance meter things. It measures G-force and estimates your vehicle 0-60, 1/4 mile, 60-0 and also bhp at wheels. But for bhp you need to enter vehichle weight too. Will see what it comes up with for bhp, as I just had the Westie rolling roaded last week. On another note, I've just got back to the office after taking the Westie for it's MOT (it's first MOT in my ownership) and I am very happy to say that it passed with flying colours. First time that I've had a car do that for about 5 yrs. LOL! steve
