Jost got a FPN speed fine thro' the post for doing 80mph on the M180 towards Grimsby @ 1pm last sunday afternoon! The motorway was vertually empty. As the M180 is every freaking day!!!!!!!

I didn't spot the so called safety camera van until I was around 1/4 mile from the bridge By that time I saw it it was too late despite braking to 65mph.I was just tootling along. The other annoying thing is I've passed motorway patrol cars at 80 mph and never bin stopped. It just does my head in Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

80 is a bit tight.  "Most" people reckon they'd get away with 85.  I guess this proves them/us wrong. :(

My sympathy Buzz. What you have to realise is that the Scamera partnerships are running out of cash, they have spent money on buildings and staff based on projected income increases. However the income has plateaued and unless they get the siting of fixed cameras relaxed to include  any site of their choice they have little chance of hitting the income targets they projected. Their response has been to target motorways ( the safest roads in europe) and to reduce the trigger points.

There is already a ban on any staff increases in the partnerships and the media has begun to take the fight up again. Before accepting it look on pepipoo and on Piston head. There are ways to question the NIP and depending on what type of gun there are questions on accuracy, the guy in Scotland clocked at 137mph in a car governed to 107mph sealed governer jap import, or the bus driver clocked a 81mph in a 30 who had his tacho sheet to back up the error. If you were in the Westfield I have read that if they target the car the open wheels at the front can give falsh readings.

Anyway good luck

Yep, the calculation is 10% plus 2 - that's 79 mph in a 70 mph limit - How unfortunate can you get!

Drive through sunny Wigan recently, looking for new car for h.i.d.

What do i see ?

Brand Spanking new GMP Police HQ

Massive building outdoes Buckingham Palace , All fenced in , security gates , floodlit courtyard with lock up garages .

The entrance alone big enough to hold a bl**dy supermarket and has Burglar alarms fitted !

Can see why the money is needed, its to pay for the offices They need so they can process all the millions they are scamming out of us, and decide what to spend  on more  scameras, helicopters, patrol cars, vans . etc. etc.

Cops arent interested in real crime policing anymore, it aint cost effective and anyway it doesn't bother those big  fat cats which include the police cheifs on there big fat salary's

There all tucked up nicely in there mansions surrounded by security cameras and barbed wire while they preach the gospel to all and sundry then go about braking there own law whenever they feel like it.

Don't know about you but looks to me like we will all wake up one day soon and find were in a real police state !

DON'T PANIC !

BIG BROTHER IS COMING SOON    :arse:  :arse:  :arse:

its all a game really though isnt it ?

I Thought this aswell Neil.

Know someone who was Done for 33 in a 30, mentioned it to a Policeman he knew and was told there's "Zero Tolerance" on speeding in built-up areas....

So is 'Tolerance' only allowed on Motorways then  ???

The 10% was margin for error in speedometers - even the police calibrated variety are not completely accurate.   If he'd contested it, I don't think they'd have had a case against him the could prove.   That's why they have the 10% plus 2 rule.

Best way to stop 'em. Everyone stick to the speed limits for 6 months, they'd run out of money and give up to go and solve proper crime.....i.e.  catch the scum that are breaking into your house while you are out speeding.
