I'm 99.9% sure you can get ally blocks for cossies too - save yourself 40+ kgs with one sweep of the chequebook :)

Of course if you keep the turbo* you can have 400-500bhp without too much trouble

*put a bigger one on :p

Yup. Millington Diamond blocks are ally, beautifully made, and cost a small fortune new. They are rare second hand and even then, expect to pay the thick end of 2 grand if not more...

Me too. Sadly, they are not legal in my SS class, so I'll not be bothering...

Been in a millington engined westfield - amazing. Tom Whittakers is brilliant. So much torque plus mated to sequential box. Still got carpets in/leather seats. beautifaul car.

Nah not biting  ;)  I love cosworth YB's myself, I've spent some of the past 10 years making them go faster, my last 3DR cosworth had about 420BHP, any trouble was in didn't go round corners to well, especially at 140+

Horses for courses at the end of the day, you can buy a low miles zetec from virtually anywhere and throw it straight in for very little cost, it's tough and reliable and will give consistent good power and torque, whereas most of the other engines mentioned are either scarce and expensive or are flawed (K series).

The VX I must admit is a cracker, trouble is they're in short supply, especially as mr mason has most of them in his garage!  :D

I have yet to be scared Sh**less in mud's 250bhp mean machine, not sure whether I'm looking forward to it or not!  :0

Scruffy, do you need/want a cosworth manual? You probably have one but I still have mine & am thinking of selling it now?

Cheers,

Mark.

You need to go to zoo and get brom to make you up completly re-designed suspension.  I also want and need that (and a mint 3 door in white to go with it)

I've got a pdf of pretty much everything that i just print out as and when i need it.  However, it depends how much you were thinking of selling for :p

How much you offering?  :p

It's the full manual set for 2wd sierra, 4x4 and escort, they're 55 quid now, mine are as new, you can have them for 35, how's that sound?

Mud, I'll come out with you when it's warmed up, tooooooo cold at mo, you might have defrosted yourself then!  :p  :D

Bit too rich for me I'm afraid, as I said I've already got a copy on pdf and I've finished the main engine build so the money would be better spent on more parts for the car.  £35 seems a fair price though, so i were you I'd put them on e-bay and double your money :D

Cheers
