steppenwolf
Michael, I have no idea why anyone would want to have the complication of the the cantilever! Thos ( above ) may have the answer although I have to say that I am very happy with the throttle travel and cannot see any problem with it. I have floor mounted pedals in case this make a difference. My system was supplied with the bracket for the outer cable end attached to the block. As a matter of interest, I have also fitted an additional return spring:- Return Spring Article
Chris.B
My setup as supplied from Westfield was the same as Step's - Jenveys with no fancy cantilever things. I've also fitted a throttle pedal stopbolt and an extra throttle return spring. See here.
deano.1
Apparently the fancy cantilever assembly causes the butterflies to open more slowly at the start of pedal movement than towards full open throttle in relation to pedal movement, the result is more control over small amounts of throttle applied when driving slowly although why anyone would want to use small amounts of throttle and drive slowly i dont know!! Im sure my explanations are getting worse
Blatman
Sounds plausible. What I do know is that the Jenvey linkage on my green car has a *much* better (smaller) range of movement at the pedal than the Weber linkage on my DCOE's on the other car. I'll be buying the Jenvey linkage again 'cos it does what I want and I won't have to b******* around with it...
