Keith Scarfe
Hmmmmm..... I think I may have the answer.... You are allowed to drive your car to a pre booked MOT right? It won’t have tax and MOT but you must have insurance. Soooooo..... if I get some insurance sorted (it used to be a road car about 4 years ago so shouldn't be a problem) then all I have to do is book an MOT then I can test it. Does that sound ok to people? Within the law? All I would need to do is put the original number plates on (which I have somewhere I think)

neilwillis
Not just road legal tyres, but lights, seat belts etc etc. Plus of course there's the small matter of 100 mph on UK roads
ChrisG
Ive been told that the security guards at Brooklands will sometimes let you on the runway part on quiet weekdays if you "persuade" them, tho never tried it myself. Even if you ring up and book it I think you can get a couple of hours for £50 or so. Chris

TonyFerrino
Reminds me years ago (1978 to be precise) when I 1st came to Bath, we used to sneak over to Castle Combe circuit & drive on in the evenings. I recall my dad taking me for a driving lesson at Keevil airfield when I was 16. Quality.
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison
Keith, Be careful on that one. if your car is obviously not upto MOT spec ie lights etc, the plods can impound it and give you a ticket to get it MOT'd and upto road legal spec. I've forgotten the phrase for it but you get the jist... John
