Ultima v Radical

For the first six months of ’04, the PH forum was rife with rumour and speculation over the Noble M400. It’s final spec, price, top speed and supercar slaying properties were all argued in depth. The general consensus, quite naturally, was that as the 3R had been such a spectacular driver’s car, the M400 would be sensational.

At the launch, the official figures heightened anticipation further with the venerable 3-litre Ford Duratec V6 now tuned to develop a mighty 425bhp at 6500rpm (401bhp/ton) and an equally wholesome 390lb ft of torque at 5000rpm. Larger turbo chargers, forged pistons and high-lift cams are the secrets behind the extra shove, along with the required engine remapping and improved cooling.

0-60 3.5 0-100 8 Should be more than quick enough for me :D

I'll have a Ultima and a garage wide enough to put it in.

I think I am right in saying the Noble was designed by the same guy as the Ultima, I've been out for a test drive in both.

One was "wow this grips really well"

the other was "hhhhhhholly sweet mary mother of god"

you have to match one to the car

Possibly not too much of a shock

Ultima all the way

Problem wuith Radicals is they're mega expensive to run and keep running - all parts are silly money, if you crash it's silly money, if you need a refresh it's silly money, if you want latest aero spec it's silly money. Plus you pay silly money in the first place and lose silly money in depreciation. All a bit silly really :D

Ultima no question - with a 6.3 twin turbo LS7 lump and 800hp please. No point putting a nunney engine in it is there

It's actually capable of that but is only running 750whp. Still mamanged a 9.7 1/4 @ 160 though.... :D  Did 225mph, with 6th gear to go too.

Think it's never gone faster cos of cooling and stability problems - apparently

Ultima for me please

If we all bought one, would we get a discount?

Plus...........the forum would be very quiet with everyone here going to an Ultima Forum:(
