Peter Cox Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Ian Wright's stuffed his Modena convertible into a tree on a residential road. See the Sun for a picture. Ouch. Quote
Dracoro Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Personally reckon he floored it in 1st, turning onto or off a road and then span it. He turned the TC off which you should only do if you are used to powerful rwd cars with no TC (like us lot really ) Quote
Blatman Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Article here. Apparently the cops found an out of date tax disc too. So, yet another footballer setting a good example Shame, 'cos I quite like Wrighty..... Quote
david.c Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Article here. Apparently the cops found an out of date tax disc too. Blatman Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Doesn't no tax mean insurance is void? Only if he makes a claim.... and his insurance company decide to investigate..... He could of course say he was going for an MOT.... Quote
DickieB Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 T Cut and a bit of duck tape should sort that out. Quote
adhawkins Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Err... I'm sure the roll of tape I bought from Machine Mart was branded as 'Duck Tape'... Could be wrong... Andy Quote
Nick M Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 There is a brand of tape called "DUCK" but the type of tape is DUCT. In the US it's often called Racer Tape - seemingly just an excuse to charge more for Duct tape in pretty colours.... Quote
neilwillis Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 You are both correct, it's duct tape as in air conditioning ducts, but there's a brand selling it as duck tape, available in all good DIY stores. That's why I use tank tape Quote
Fat Albert Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Wrighty always had a rep for going in with both feet Quote
geelhoed Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 I thought that gaffer tape was the Queen's English translation of the american duct tape. Is there a difference? Quote
