thos Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 Got weighed last week, 640kg, and 160bhp 250bhp/ton Now, if I can get that weight down to 600kg, and the 160bhp up to 190/200bhp, I'll be laughing ! Quote
Boxerman33 Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 Just to confuse the issue, are the power figures quoted at the wheels or on a dyno? .......not that it'll make much difference to me cos I'm a bit of a lardy!!!!!! : Quote
Blatman Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 I beleive we normally all quote flywheel power. At the wheels power is not the best for comparisons sake as you can vary it by altering the gearing/tyre pressures etc etc, which can be adjusted out when calculating the flywheel figure. Either way, the numbers aren't from the same RR on the same day, so are subject to variations that make accurate comparisons impossible. They're in the ball park enough for this particular p******** contest though..... Quote

Assuming that your not in a V8 then 600kg should be VERY attainable........ <!--emo& & Assuming that you have a 2.0L 16v engine then so should 190/200bhp......... 333bhp/tonne Get 1.8 Zetec. Though I might see if I can swap it for a 2.0 before starting to put too much money into cams/headwork. I'm getting quite jealous reading all these high bhp/ton figures. Quote

Terry Everall Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 Yeh, Nuff said Ash ! Some one once said that size isnt everything. But they were wrong!!! Quote
markcoopers Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 About 130/0.58 so 224bhp/t with me is 130/0.65 so 200bhp/t. Not bad from a CVH road car, but must try harder. Quote
