Mrs Westy Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 at one time, if you hit a dog, you had, by law to report the fact as it was a licenced animal. Not any more of course because they no longer have licences. It's still a legal requirement - Road Traffic Act 1988 section 170 requires you to stop/report etc. if damage is caused to an animal. The definition of animal includes dog, even though dog licences were abolished some years previously. FWIW, having recently had a pet rabbit decapitated in our garden, I find the concept of deliberately or otherwise splatting rabbits none too hilarious. Quote
neilwillis Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 I stand corrected Mrs W. Should I ask how the said wabbit became headless? I'm sure I speak for everyone else when I say splatting rabbits is a last resort to avoid splatting oneself. A poor alternative, but necessary nevertheless at times. Quote
