Peak District Run Out, Sun 9 Nov, Cupola

Meet at 10am, Cupola Cafe, Stoney Middleton, Hope Valley, S32 4TF for breakfast before heading off into the Peak District for a run out. Finish time will be early to account for the dark evenings.

 

Weather dependant so please check on here before travelling. Members only.

If I can find and fix the reason for the misfire I had on the way to the Cheshire Meet last night, I'll be there! (And if I can't, I'll be crying into my cornflakes at home, while you all zoom around the Peaks!!)

Here’s my list of excuses 

1. 

she’s in bits !!!! Winter maintenance has begun

2. We’re working 🥴 ok I’m turning up 🤪

3. My passport is out of date and it is really far north 🤣

ON. The current plan is that rain is heading our way in the afternoon, weather forecasts are unreliable so we intend on meeting for breakfast and taking it from there. Hopefully we can fit a run in and maybe even a pot of tea and a slice of cake.........said Worzel Gummidge here.

 

As everyone who is coming has well over a 1 hour journey home, we will keep this one short and do our best to get you home dry.

Last time you said this we got home in the dark and a little damp. Was good though 👍

its a garage door poster/cover ( very thin printed cloth)that came from temu for the extortionate price of £14,  5 mtrs by 1.8mtrs I’ve hung it from the roof on 3 magnetic hooks and just move it across when I need anything from behind it. Makes the garage look pretty and tidy though 😜

I've had a short mainly foggy run into the Peaks to join the gang for breakfast only and an equally foggy run home. Roads mainly dry and dirty! Nice to be out!

Still investigating the miss-fire.

 

 

 

No concrete leads as yet, three plugs definitely showing signs of abnormal combustion some, though not much, soot marking, which would tally with dropping on to one cylinder, while running.

 

One plug completely normal/good combustion looking, the others variations on this:

 

 

There was a little "loose" oil in the bottom of the plug wells, no where near enough to reach as far up as the electrical contacts, but enough to wet the plug threads taking them out - I couldn't get any more oil out. before removing the plugs.

That looks clean. Could be coil pack related and spark plug tube seals
