Morris Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Anyone going to this event? ย https://www.popupcarshows.co.uk/london-to-brighton ย There'll be an XI there (๐ฌ๐๐). Quote

We'll be staying at the Brooklands hotel, which I don't think we could quite class as reasonably priced but the rooms are good and I'm happy with the parking arrangements, as it seems are many other participants. ย @SteveB21ย is local and may know? ย ย Quote

BobMet Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Its a great run out with iconic (apologies for the overused description) start and end points, a variety of motors and a good atmosphere. Decent weather is an important bonus though! We'll be heading down Saturday late PM after day 1 of Malvern. Happy to share more details here or by PM. 1 Quote
SteveB21 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Depends what you mean by reasonable - don't forget you are in suburban Surrey.... ย Having said that, I can recommend The Oatlands Chaser - friends of ours have stayed there and were happy with it. Secluded parking behind the hotel/pub and only 3 miles / 10 minutes from Brooklands. It also has a decent menu. Unfortunately I won't be doing the L2B this year as I plan to make a weekend of it at Malvern. As Bob says it is a great day out with a well planned route. If I was around I would happily offer you a parking space at my place! ย https://www.theoatlandschaser.co.uk/accommodation#/ ย Another pricier but very nice option is The Oatlands Park Hotel:ย https://www.oatlandsparkhotel.com/ย - plenty of parking. ย There is also the Cobham Hilton, just off the A3 & M25 and only 2 miles from Brooklands - has plenty of parking and secluded, but I have no experience of it. ย There are a couple of local Travelodges, but they have limited parking, so you won't be able to guarantee getting a space. ย Hope that helps! ย Steve ย 1 Quote
SteveB21 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Just thought of another option - The Best Western Ship Hotel in the centre of Weybridge. It has barriers on its car park and if you're lucky you might even be able to park under cover! The website makes it look more rural than it is, but you can walk to a range of restaurants and pubs from it. ย ย 1 Quote

Fingers crossed for good weather. 1 Quote

There's plenty there for me to investigate so I'm sure one of them will be suitable. ย I forgot it's Malvern that weekend, but too far to get to for me from south Hertfordshire โน๏ธ. 1 Quote
