SootySport Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 For just replacing the glass fibre body panels, the answer is don't, the colour won't match. Replace them with carbon fibre versions. Hope it all works out for you. Quote

I have thought about getting one, I was thinking about it last night, a V8 bonnet too. Are they easy to line up, ie get all the shutlines nice and even, get the locating pins in the right place, fit the latches, get the holes for the indicators properly matched etc. Stuff like that gives me nightmares. The method described in the manual is to drill two pilot holes in the bonnet, clamp the bonnet to the nose, transfer drill through and then enlarge with a step drill to the right size. for the indicators I fitted the bodywork, and then with all the suspension settled I measured up from the floor to the height I wanted. latches depend on what type you’ve got but it’s not too difficult if you’re handy with a drill and file. 2 1 Quote
