Haynes Breakfast Club meet - 7th April 2024

Stuart Davis (fatblokestu) AO - Devon & Somerset

Recommended Posts

My car is indisposed currently, doing some work on the brakes and pedals so I headed to meet the others at Sparkford roundabout the Mondeo TToS 🤪. Not alone, Matt was in his A Class, leaving Jon the only one to be in a Westfield

Heading in, it was very well attended with a wide variety of cars there. We had a look around the Heritage Workshops first off, with some lovely machinery being worked on which included a Lamborghini Muira, V12 Ferrari of some kind and an old Jag being restored. Whilst there, we saw Mr Haynes junior in a lovely AM DBR2 which he was shaking down after being worked on.

The obligatory bacon/sausage baps were consumed followed by a wander round for an hour or so. Dave was there in his Elise, and we also bumped into @Paul Baker @SXRORY Paul and Rory down from Bristol, whose cars were in the paddock. Home by 10.40, a nice way to spend the morning.

Early morning start out of Bristol and it definitely wasn't a dry one.

Have to admit I was wavering but @SXRORY was keen and the tickets were paid for so we set off. Turned out to be a good shout as the weather turned in our favour.

Nice to line the Westfields up in the theme Paddock (Best of British theme this month). Then it was a breakfast bap and a look around the machinery on display. Here's a few of the other cars that caught my eye:

And I went back in time to one of my favourite old cars from my younger days! I didn't have a giant spoiler on my Probe though...

Was a great day out. I had prepared for a shower or two but we escaped just damp roads and some forays into the countryside thanks to Waze  all part of the fun. some great cars. Paul sweet talked the lady for the paddock entry for me....top job 🤙

Great pics, thanks Rory, didn’t take many today so nice to have a record 👍. Loved the Anglia with a Zetec shoehorned into it too 👍
