The only Westfield in the village, disappointingly, but there you go. The usual mix of great company, great food and great driving was had in the Peak District today. It was ruddy lovely to be out in the car and it was even a comfortable temperature.

It's called Stoney Middleton for a reason, all the limestone cliffs are beautiful and provide a photogenic backdrop at the cafe

Inside we all tucked in to breakfast

When we sit outside in the summer there are climbers to watch, like the Eiger only on a smaller scale 😁. Can you spot todays offering

Yes, so that is a lovely new venue for us to go to, there will be no chance of getting in there any later than 9.30am though because it is very popular. Thanks for coming @BillyPee and @Andy Westwood xx

Sorry to bail this morning🫣, The roads were looking very wet and skies dark grey overhead early on!

Looks quite dry at Stoney Middleton in your photos!

I did manage to get out for a good couple of hours at lunch when the roads dried and skies cleared though😁

next time🤞

The Cupola is in a very beautiful setting and it is an excellent cafe, I can't wait for you all to experience it. A line of cars parked there will look amazing.

The building has been designed to look like the cupola that used to be on that site. A cupola is a rounded dome used to heat lead ore in order to separate them.

Thank you all for the good wishes 👍

I’m not sure how much use my Westfield will get this year, we will be out here for the birth at the end of June, and on 16th April Margaret will be getting a new shoulder, that will be a full set for the Bionic Woman 😮

Meanwhile she is about to ditch the crutches and walk unaided this week, hope the weather holds up 😎😂
