Richard (OldStager)
An insider whom I know very well ( but won't name) works for Wirral Borough Council on the road safety team. He just informed me that the UK Gov wanted to roll this out UK wide, but due to the Welsh and now the Wirral public's view on the 20mph limit that plan is now likely to be scrapped. The welsh government do not have to discuss this petition until it has been available for its full term of 6 months or until the person who set it up finishes it. There has already been pressure put on the person who set it up to finish it early due to the massive numbers signing up. A counter petition was also started and will probably be discussed earlier and will be used by the senedd to justify the speed reductions. Mr Drakeford however is convinced he knows better and will use his majority to ignore the petition.
