Ewan Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Fitted the new pipe and it appears to have fixed the problem. So dropped it at my local MOT station and happily it passed (as expected). Now I can tax it and take it for a spin. So happy days are here again. 5 Quote

Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Whilst trying to change the handle on the pull start of my mower….. I let go of the string. Don’t try this at home kids!🤣 That is all 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Now sorted but it took a while 🤪🤪 6 1 Quote
DeanMegaS2000 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Tried to cheat and drill it out from underneath. Failed, so dash and scuttle/screen off in the end 4 Quote

Quickest in Caterham pursuit and Karting and finished second overall... driving the JP LM on slicks in the rain was interesting.. they changed to wets for the next session... Yes was really well run... with plenty of spins and trips on the grass..in fact I enjoyed it more in the wet than the last time I went in the dry... 1 Quote
SteveG Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Excellent, nicely done. The JP LMs were probably my favourite of the day. Hopefully do another one day. Quote
joolz Posted May 21 Posted May 21 We went out for a drive on Sunday but turned back because a cracking/creaking noise from the car was getting worse. Stopped for a check over but couldn't see anything amiss so drove back home. Testing things out I did some driving along a pavement with drop-kerbs every so often. As the front nearside wheel went up and down there was a terrible loud crack/creak. Investigation shows it's one of the top wishbone bushes - presumably nylon - and as the inner sleeve rotates in the nylon (or the nylon rotating in the arm, eeek) it cracks loudly. Squirting lube all over it has done nothing so i will have to strip the bushes out. Sadly with the way the bolts are fed from outside-in that means removing the nose cone and a water pipe. Hopefully get it sorted before malvern. Interestingly, I backed the spaxs off all the way to allow the suspension as free movement as possible but it didn't seem to make any difference, I unbolted the lower damper eye bolt so i could raise/lower that corner assembly but couldn't budge it at all there was so much stiction in the rotating assembly of the bushes. I think it all needs pulling apart for a good checkover. 3 1 Quote
