Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 I've just received a friend request on Facebook from the Westfield Sports Car Club, I'm just wondering if this is a genuine thing from the club, or a scam. Quote
Simon Waterfall Syman84 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 I was just about to post the same question, it's out of the blue and don't recall seeing anything on here. Quote
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 When I looked at the info page, it has the same birthday as a certain @HB46443 so I'm assuming it's Hedley (aka the WSCC Social Media Guru) Now we suspect its Hedley, it might adversely impact the numbers accepting the friend request! 😂 1 2 Quote
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 I thought it had a taste of @HB46443 when I first saw it. I've accepted, and it's looks genuine enough. 1 Quote
Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Looks like they have requested to join the "Westfield Sportcars" as well which has 9.7K followers (I know this group isn't linked to the WSCC) Is this new WSCC FB Group affiliated to by the WSCC @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Hedley has been hoovering up social media accounts for the Club, on Insta, Face Book, You Tube, etc. Quote
HB46443 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Morning All. Yes hoovering up! The Westfield name has many options on social media. Many successfully run and popular. Unfortunately with so many it also become less apparent those who are directly affiliated with the manufacture and those with links to the club. It would be great if we could align all the different entities, but sadly we are a little late to the party. the Facebook WSCC has been created to align our instagram. Previously all posts were being sent my personal Facebook page. Mixed messaging again! We will be reviewing access to these Club tools very shortly as others have expressed an ability to direct and post. If you are interested in growing the WSCC social media then please drop me a email. 2 3 Quote

Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 @HB46443 @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman This seems to be causing some confusion, is it worth clarifying intentions to avoid any negativity? https://www.facebook.com/groups/SevenSpot/permalink/3380420845528638/ 1 Quote
