The theme has been temporarily changed as a mark of the sad passing of HRH Elizabeth II.

We will remain in black for a suitable period.

Thank you.

Black header is what Dave was referring to (not background)

Me too, this is what I'm seeing instead of a Black background.

Might I suggest you turn down the brightness on your device - it’s what I do when reading in bed at night.

The current forum format will stay as a mark of respect until after the state funeral.

I think this sounds a bit self-important. I'm suffering with deteriorating eyesight so am becoming increasingly sensitive to issued like this. Surely there is a technical solution...

Like you @Rory's Dad I too am experiencing deteriorating eyesight (age related), and recently have had to adjust the brightness levels and font sizes / magnification levels on my browsers to make the screen easier to read.  You might find doing this helps you and others in our position now and in the future.

@Quinten Uijldert - Webmaster tried a number of visual variations in order for the forums to demonstrate our respect for the passing of the Queen, and this was the one he decided worked best.  I agree with his work and choice.  As said above, this format will stay in this format until after the state funeral.  Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I will let @TableLeg post the solution, not taking credit for his homework 👍

If using Firefox on a Pc you can use the 'Dark reader' add on.
