So, I’m even more of a cheapskate than you :) . I found that the navy/white and black/blue ones are two quid cheaper 👍😃

should be on commission I think, give Lonsdale a call mate...😄

They should be paying me anyway, for the number of pairs I have bought over the years! I also currently have a black stripe on black suede pair for subtlety.

Just remember to buy a 1/2-1 size over, as they are a tight fit. Which I forgot to once, so I have a pair of 9-1/2 (for size 9 foot) in discontinued brown 'aged' leather if anyone is interested before I put them on ebay. Only worn once for 1-2 hrs and realised my mistake, and stored in a smoke/pet free house since.

Had I not already tried some 9 1/2's I would have had those. They were just on the small size for me.

I bought mine half a size under my normal eleven, and whilst they are tight, I will hopefully prefer the smaller shoe given the tightness of my (narrow bodied) pedal box. I’ve yet to try them so will report back in a few weeks.

Do these same shoe suggestions hold for someone that usually wears a flipper in a UK 12/EU 47.5? I've tried looking in the past, and found that once you're advised to order a 1/2 to a full size up that I'm off the top of the size chart....

As @Blatmansuggested, its best to go to an actual shop and try them on, as it seems many of these type of shoes are not sized consistantly across the brands. I am so glad I went as I would never usually buy a size 10 shoe.

I really like Vivo Barefoot shoes, especially for those with a wider foot.  They have a great sizing tool that means no messing about with ordering multiple sizes and sending some back.

Do they come with a mortgage application?!

For those of us with flipper shaped feet there is very little choice, why shoes are shaped like torpedoes and not feet is beyond me.  Getting cycling shoes without chopping off toes is even more fun ☹️

  • 2 weeks later...

Only suitable driving shoes I've found size 12 are cheapest possible chinese trainers and proper Raceboots.

these trainers are vented and so light, good for summer heat.59F8E66E-7571-4850-A739-387B95C16ED5.thumb.jpeg.b8e2ab81899f6adcee9c90805ff05be5.jpeg

Very stylish. I bet you’re the envy of all the other yoga mums.
