Stoneleigh 2022 entry tickets when volunteering - what does 'ALL PAID' mean?

Sorry if I'm being dense, I've asked around our local Essex area and we're still confused about the entry ticket/ camping situation 🙂

What does 'All Paid' mean?

Does it mean that volunteers need to buy tickets from the show website or at the gate on entry ('to be paid by member')? Or does it mean that WSCC has already paid for entry/ camping tickets for the official listed volunteers ('already paid by WSCC on volunteering member's behalf')?

Maybe it's a Southerner thing - we're used to paying huge amounts for everything.

I’d wondered the same as you Mike. I’d thought about going this year and if I did I would volunteer, but £70 for the two of us to camp is a bit steep IMO.

Looking at this and the thread, I’m betting there is no free camping now for anyone.  I can (kind of) understand why for a number of historic reasons (including COVID) but if it is that way, it’s not helpful for our volunteers.  Two adults (one being a club member) arriving in a kit car and camping overnight with tickets to attend both days is £30, whereas in previous years it would be just the cost of the entrance ticket for the passenger.

I’m looking forward to how they propose to enforce this.  Say someone shows up in a kit car after having bought a camping pass for £10 in advance, and the passenger buys a one day ticket for £10 but then stays overnight in the tent / caravan instead of paying another £10 for the show on Monday.  Are they proposing to go around policing it by knocking on tent flaps overnight to check people’s wristbands, or checking wristbands on the Monday and ejecting people with the wrong colour? Will security walk around on Monday querying people in jackets or long sleeved shirts and demanding to view wristbands?

How about volunteers helping set up on Saturday and camping overnight, attending the show on Sunday and then going home Sunday evening - how do they propose to handle that?

I’m definitely not proposing anyone goes around or flouts the entrance / camping rules.  The camping situation has been abused by non-club members in the past to my experience.  What I’m saying this new policy is less than well thought out and I anticipate issues - avoidable issues.

Yes, I'll be spending the Sun/Mon on the Siltech stand, camping on Sunday night, hotel on Saturday and helping the WSCC setup on Saturday. Probably I should just book a camping ticket in advance and be done with it.

I am confused by it too! Just glad it isn't just me!

It will be the first time that my son and I will attend the show and we intend to camp on the Sunday.

So I've bitten the bullet and bought entry and camping passes for us.

We intend to attend this year as visitors but would like to volunteer in future.

Would be good to get some clarification though.
