Meet at McDonalds, Matlock, DE4 3AU at 10am. After refreshments we will have a wiggle around the Peak District and I think the quietest place to finish will be at The Tea Junction Cafe, Hulme End, plus the car park surface is sort of dusty and absorbent 😁🧽

Right, I'll try and get this posting thingy right and in the correct thread!!  (I'm only a beginner, don't mind me...  )

 

I probably won't make this one. I've new seals on order, which I need to fit before I can troubleshoot any further, so not enough time, really, to sort it out.

 

The seals have since arrive for the spark plug wells. Managed to get them fitted so I could test, and as I half expected, the oil "bath" issue has taken a Coil out (COP). I've ordered a set of four new ones, but the chances of them arriving in time, fitting etc, as above, aren't good. I just hope it's not taken anything out, further down the chain, but I won't know that until I can fit and test the new COPs.

 

So I'll give this one a miss.

It's a no again...sorry

This weekend... the final weekend of spannering before  the first track day,  and an MOT ...so we can have some road use.

Future weeks

1. After many years of stalling SWMBO, I've been tasked with a new kitchen (which involves removing a wall, and moving doors.)

2. New seats to fit to the Westfield.

3. Off to London for my lads Gold Duke of Edinburgh presentation at the palace. 

 

I should be joining you in May.

Well, it is Mother's Day so I wasn't expecting too many people in spite of the weather.

Isn’t it brilliant that we loose an hour on Mother’s Day. Makes the whole experience that much shorter. Small mercies but nevertheless welcome 😀😀. Enjoy your day out. Weather forecast looks good. Jealous obs.

@AndrewBClarkeI’ve only been allowed out as I have to spend all the following week at Moms building and decorating 🙄 but it was her birthday 2 weeks ago so we had a meal out and then had the family for Sunday lunch, I’ve scored enough brownie points to be let off with just a flying visit on Sunday afternoon 😜 ( on the way back from peaks in the Westie) I hope you’ve invited your mom for the whole weekend Mr Clarke 🤣

Mad but not that mad. Going south on Saturday and home again on Sunday in time to watch the F1 😉. Was meant to be ‘sharing the burden’ with big bro but he has managed to bail. I’ll get my own back on him in due course…..

I'm staying local tomorrow due to Mother's Day duties.... 

 

I was hoping to bring mom along tomorrow but she struggled to get in and out of the car when we tried today (shes very disappointed but needs a bit more time for her shoulder to heal from her operation last year).... on the upside, she is meeting me for breakfast at a local car meet in the morning instead. The joys of a petrolhead mother 😂

well that is a shame but please do bring her along as soon as she is able, it will be great to meet her. My zany mom loves it in the Westfield yet despite my dad being an engineer he barely mentions it.

 

Oh and thanks for letting me know your plans, as we stand it has gone from 15 cars last weekend to 2 tomorrow🙄. Quality over quantity hey @aeg🤣
