As the title suggests, the company from Germany are advertising through Facebook under the group 'Westfield Sportscars'

Any thoughts?

Thank you

Regards

Richard

That looks like the link recently posted by the Westfield German Distributor?

Their carbon body work is absolutely superb, and they, years ago, pioneered the fitting of Ford Mondeo Duratec V6’s, (they produced a special hybrid MT75 gearbox, to do so).

Don’t forget to also add U.K. VAT and any import duties and shipping costs etc when importing from Germany.

I have one of Christophs bonnets.

It took some work to fit.  fitted with the carbon scuttle he offers as well and the nose cone.  I had to make some adjustments to get a better fit.  Weave isnt perfect, but its light and it looks great now!

Its wetlay so expect imperfections.  Its not MickMade PrePreg! unfortunately.

I wonder if you could please share the type of work you needed to do to get a good fit? I am considering buying the same parts and would like to know what work I may need to do.

thank you.

For me, i have to make several cuts along the inside lip in both corners across the scuttle to allow the sides to be pulled in without applying too much pressure.
also both lower corners didnt line up to the carbon scuttle very well so i used some resin to build out the sides to get a better finish line

Aerocatches complicated it as its very thin compared to a OEM part form Westfield

hope that helps

The bonnet is 2.6kg? Wonder what a v8 bonnet weighs - 9kg?

You could eat less pies and drive a bit faster! ;)

But a CF makes your Westfield details from: 242 bhp Duratec, 535kg which is 452.34 BPT >>>>> to 242 bhp Duratec, 529kg which is 457.47 BPT

I'd drive slower because I wouldn't want to risk damaging my carbon fibre 😄
