New Years Day Peak District run out

Meet at Ca**ington Water, DE6 1ST, 10am on New Years Day. The cafe opens at 10am and there is plenty of outside seating plus undercover seating, the temperature is forecast to be 15 degrees so that will help.

 

The car park is covered by ANPR and the charge is £3 for 2 hours, you can pay by card and you have up to 24 hours to pay online if you wish. 

 

Burton Car Club are meeting there too so I am hoping there is a good mix of cars for us to look at. Michael who runs the club does not go for a run out, but we will, we have cake to find as I am fed up of eating Green and Blacks (er never)😛

 

So who is taxed in January and who is coming?

That's made me laugh, I used "butt" instead of "A***", and then it censored Ca**ington! 😂

Fingers crossed that's sorted that bit of the language filter out! (it seemed to be responding to seeing the "ars"  and "ing" in the one word, as if the letters were altogether, if you see what I mean. - just the way the word had been configured in the filter) It's annoyed me for ages every time I see it in a Peaky post, just not usually able to sort it out there and then, and of course I forget about it later.  🤦‍♂️

 

With all the bad weather we've had, I pulled the Honda apart (slightly) to do some of the finishing off jobs under the scuttle. So if the weather is looking ok tomorrow, I might take a run out in the Sigma - I need to do an oil change on it, (engine and gearbox), so a good opportunity to get them both warmed through.

Our car is on the road. Had a good blast out in it today, was very mild. No chance of my surfacing tomorrow morning though, New Year’s Eve is very much a party night for us that involves way to much alcohol. Have a great run all and il wish you a very good new year. Cheers, Ian & Ali.

When you drive downhill over the speed bump and through the main entrance gates you will come to a T junction. Turn RIGHT here and park just there on the RIGHT. The car park is massive and that is the quietest place.

 

I have an old friend coming with us who has bought a Westfield today, how exciting for him👍
