Major Stare
Just went on the On Line Westfield Parts store to find some side doors (with elbow room) for my narrow bodied Westy. Total shock at the Price of £266.74 And they dont do them for the narrow body Im in the wrong job with prices like that. Moan over

adhawkins
Why do you want them? (serious question). I keep saying this (a search will prove it ), but when I first bought my car I never thought I'd be able to drive without them. After a few weeks of blatting I hardly noticed it. Now, I can't remember the last time I used them. Ok, they keep the wind out, but to me they remove the whole 'out in the open air' feel of driving a Westy, and they make the cockpit even more cramped. Major Stare
I wont be using them all the time, its just for motorway runs (like last Sunday) and when "the wife" is in the car.
Nick.Petty
Absolutely agree Andy. I found them a pain in the arris. Having said that, some passengers in the car when I was running without them found the wind buffeting a real problem - even to the extent that they found it hard to breathe (cos I drive soooooo quick ...) so I guess it affects some people more than others. adhawkins
Has she been out in it much? Seriously, you really do get used to it. The Welsh Wizard never complains now (well, not about that anyway ). How long have you had the car? Andy
Major Stare
She has been out in it. I too find it hard to breath over 60mph.........why is that?

adhawkins
She has been out in it. I too find it hard to breath over 60mph.........why is that? There's a weird vortex around the sides, caused by the windscreen. It even drags water from behind the car when it's raining sometimes! Seriously though, give it time. You really do get used to it. Nick.Petty
Don't get used to it for too long, that would be a fatal mistake ...
adhawkins
How can i get used to not being able to breath? You can breathe, it's just a sensation you're not used to. Trust me, I don't know of anyone that's passed out while driving a Westy without side screens. I barely notice it these days. Andy
