Glen_I
I think he is hoping you are so set on having 'her' back he is hoping you will buckle and give in to his price. And as Craig says, walk away.......

Richard (OldStager)
I really don't think I would buy back a car I had sold for the same money when it's clearly not in the same running condition as when I sold it. Unless it holds some emotional value, I would walk away. You don't have to be a member of the forum to view the Stuff & Nonsense section either, so it's entirely possible those folks are reading as we type... Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
- "Members Only" (Well, der...) is the main, area, viewable, by ahem Members only! Additionally, the downloads section has certain sub-sections that are for paid up members only, literature, (build manuals, wiring diagrams, brochures etc) and 3D printing files. There are some other forum sections, too, but they're not viewable by Club members either, unless they are either an AO, who have their own discussion area, a moderator, likewise, or an Admin/committee member, who have access to all areas. (There's also a Speed Series organisers area too.) Otherwise, more or less everything is viewable, by all. Back to the original questions though, even in the current climate, Westfield values increased quite a bit over the last few years. While I admit, paying as much for a faulty car as it sold for when working, feels harsh, could you have just got caught out by rising values? (Sorry, can't remember just when you sold it.) Andy - a15cro
@Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary right at the start of lockdown. I had a bit of a wobble when it all stated locking down and some of out work was cancelled/put on hold. I really should have fronted it out, but I thought I may need the cash to keep us afloat. Glen_I
You have to do what is best to keep your head above water, fortunately my Westfield was already partly in pieces so not worth as much as it would've been running, but I am probably going to sell my road car with my wife just being made redundant and me dodging it, and if I do escape through this year I don't think I will return to an office. My annual mileage to the office 4 days a week was approx 13k, but my car has done less than 2k since last March....no point it sat there I think? And if anything changes and I need a car then I will deal with it then.
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Ah, OK, there may have been some increase since then, but the big jumps in value had already happened, I think.
Simon Waterfall Syman84
you can get a lot of car for £12k mate. there is no denying that hight of summer there is an increase and lockdown seems to have done all sorts of wierd things to westy prices but, currently in non running state although a somewhat know quantity it is c£7-8k unless its pulling on the heart strings i would forget it and wait to see what else comes up
