It certainly is, my wife and I went for the first time in 2003 and then took our 6 and 10yr old daughters in 2019 and they absolutely loved it, so much culture, and as we are a nature loving family a week in the rain forest blew their minds.

The people are friendly and respectful.

Yes there is a particular stigma attached to Thailand regarding the night life and the sex industry, but dont ever let that put anyone off, it's there but only if you go looking for it otherwise it wont cause the average holiday maker any issues.

The kids are so desperate to go again.

Everywhere you go here they have contactless thermometers, you can't get a pint of milk from the corner shop here without having your temperature checked. They look like this.IMG_5372.thumb.jpg.e5a40487d411c77c63292bb78f72326d.jpg

you hold your hand in front of it and get a reading.

if it is good you get a green light and can move on to the next step.

scan a QRode for track and trace.

then the the security guard will squirt your hands with hand sanitiser.

And I bet they just accept it and get on with their lives and don't keep moaning about infringement of rights. bla bla bla.  And we wonder why the transfer rate is so high here and so low there. It would be nice to be out there.
