Kingster
Blatman still beats you on “most posts” 😁
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
The posts figures are different if you look in different places, noticed that years ago, the forum seems to count some stuff as content, some as posts, then it calls contents posts, in other areas! Did you know something we didn't and had moved to the Gilbert Islands or other?

Sadly it was a much more mundane period of life that involved redundancy, an enforced house move and a change of career, all just prior to the global financial crash. It was an interesting time... I remember the period well, t'was grim for many. I was in the same boat with redundancy in '89 but fared somewhat better than you did - if living on a salary of 3/4 what I'd been used to is 'better'. It makes you appreciate the better times more and regret not taking opportunities that floated past - well it did me anyway. Retirement has a lot going for it! Go for your crown as top poster! pistonbroke
Remember back in the day when the club used Andy (Ad) Hawkins server ( free use of his server for WSCC ) There was a member called Oldman who had a late night posting blitz , he used up umpteen megabytes of Ad's server . Andy was not amused 😄
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Different times. Photo hosting makes something of a dent, but individual posts, in this day and age, rather less so. But a forum with no activity is a dead thing anyway, and even relevance as an archive fades faster than we’d like. New and fresh posts, along with the encouragement of such keeps the place alive and relevant. Particularly important in these days of stress and fear, where members have a familiar world to fall back on, and to share with. (Don't forget the mental health thread for those struggling with life and worries at the moment)
DonPeffers
This overtaking matches F1 for excitement. If the Premier league football season remaining games cannot be played the plan seems to be calculate a points per game table to determine placings. On that basis Dave is just ahead.
