Rear arch stone protectors (kit fixed arch)

@Mike424u could you put a slightly less close up photo of your rear arches up please, something doesn’t look right there. Need to see the shape and profile of them properly.

The guards do look FW like, but, and it’s really difficult to tell from those photos, but the edges of your actual wheel arches look very deep for FW, must admit, at first glance I assumed they were ZK 😆 before I read you had an FW.

That’s your problem, you have an FW nose/bonnet, but NOT an FW tub, it’s a traditional ZK tub and arches, so you need ZK type stone protectors. 👍

Following with great interest.  I too have the Kit bodywork with fixed rear arches, and three Stoneleighs ago I bought a pair of ZK bodywork arch protectors from the Westfield stand, but after quickly testing them on my car I had to return them as they were too wide.  If the FW version fits, I'd be in like Flynn 😄

BTW, CarbonNV doesn't have a version for the Kit bodywork either, although he did offer to make some if he could have my car for a long period of time so he could make moulds for them.  But I haven't spoken to Mark since beginning of last year though, so not sure how much has changed.

@Quinten I've got kit bodywork with detachable arches. Thanks to a fellow member i've acquired a  set of arch protectors that fit perfectly.  You're welcome to try them for size .

Maybe Mark could use them to make a mould if they work for you too..

@neptune I suspect your arches will be wider due to them being detachable, but there's no harm in trying.  When are you planning to fit them?  I can pop round for a socially distant visit any evening this week, or some time during the weekend...  unfortunately the Westfield remains on SORN until the country comes out of lockdown so I would need to bring them home with me for measuring if that's ok?

Christoph in Germany is now producing detachable carbon arches either in standard or XXL widths.

£409 each is the starting price, with £75ish postage

Luke from plays kook has just e- mailed me, I’ve just ordered a pair of narrow body wheel arch protectors

It would be good to know if the arch on a narrow body is the same as a wide body does any one know.

Not quite, I had a damaged narrow wheel arch and obtained a wide tub to get a mould off the relevant wheel arch But it wasn’t quite right

Evening all.

I now have a set of carbon effect stone guards that fit correctly, ZK body with detachable arches.

They fit like a glove, and even come with a strip of rubber edging. Not sure where that goes as yet, I guess its up to body line side.

These came from Westfield direct.

The FW type were way to big for my little ZK arches. They are being returned to Westfield.

Im just waiting for the glue to arrive next. Tiger seal from Ebay

I Will post a few pics when I get chance, and get to fit them.
