I've been wanting to do the circuit des ramparts  for a few years now but I. Really struggling to find any useful information. Is there plenty of camping there or is it hotels. Do you need to book up early?

Last year at the Silverstone classic I was talking to a group of marshalls at the pub on the camp site, one of them was French and he'd never heard of it. Any information would be appreciated

Thanks Martin

Hi Martin

Never camped so I cannot comment although, as you will know, the French are big campers and it s a popular region so I would say it would be a problem - but no idea if there is anything really local so you can walk to the track.

Plenty of hotels in Angouleme, but they get booked up very early and we ended up booking somewhere on the outskirts - no idea what the current situation is given what's going on in the world!

Plenty of info on here - it has been quite a few years since I went - but there used to be a ticket to get into the paddocks (which is fabulous but very busy) and then you can buy tickets to the various grandstands

It's a great event

I will see if I can find a link to some pics from previous years

Thanks, the pictures are great. I think I might try for 2022. As next year is looking fully booked with le Mans classic being moved to next year. And we've already planned the nurburgring 24hr as well
