Has anyone on here been in contact with Hi-spec recently?

ive been trying to contact them for 2 weeks via email and on the phone, no reply and no answer...

Is this normal for them or are they maybe closed for holidays?

It can be, sometimes you're lucky and get straight through, other times it can be a hideous nightmare, always been like that.

Seconded.

If you haven't already parted with cash, try and source elsewhere...

Great...im trying to chase an order placed weeks ago and is holding me up big time.

I had plenty of contact with them, but now its radio silence

Good luck. I had a 10 week wait for a '4 week' order. I'd paid up front and when I said to cancel they denied they'd been paid. Only threatening to get the bank involved made them refund.

Terrible company. As adam says if it's available elsewhere then definitly a better option.

yeah it is as i feared.

I can contact the bank and have them return the money if it comes to that.  I should manage to source the parts elsewhere (alloy hubs etc)

I know they are understaffed atm. I did get chance to speak with them last week. i would try and allow a little more time. They are a small company and if staff are off it really is all hands on deck.

That gives me some comfort I suppose.

I have a lot of patience for small companies,  but over 2 weeks without any reply is bad even if they are understaffed.

Something as simple as an automatic reply to emails, or a voicemail is all that is needed to keep customers confidence.

This kind of customer service scares people away and worse, can give them a bad reputation.

I just managed to get through on the phone. Sales staff are off and new system being put in place. Give them a call if you get chance.

Sorry pat but there are too many instances of this to make excuses for. It was a new manufacturing process then it was an IT failure in my case.

I imagine that you as a company making multiple orders have a much better relationship with them. However they treat the average punter like crap.

I like a lot of their product but have only and would only deal through a trusted supplier, in my case I've bought Hi Spec through Cat Motorsport when they were around, and then since they became a re-seller, only ever through Westfield.

That's certainly what ill be doing in the future.

if you guys have managed to get through (on a supplier phone line i assume) then it seems like they're best suited to being a wholesaler rather than selling to the public direct.
