I hate to bring it up but a caravans are much much more practical.

Our camper van van failed at Lake Geneva,

Left us with nothing!

Day trips or shopping are a nightmare with a motor home.

caravans

I know - I’ve actually been thinking the unthinkable - got a towbar already and drivespace for a small 2 berth.

My wife looked shocked when I broached the subject - “what!!! You! A caravan! - you HATE caravans and whinge every tine we have to overtake one... hmmm could be a good idea”

I'm a member of a couple of those forums.  I don't frequent them much, as they act as bulletin boards rather than full-on helpful forums.

Last time I logged onto CCC club forum I nearly bored myself into an early grave.  I've tried and failed to liven things up but hey-ho, it is what it is.
