So let’s start a silly competition, how many Westfields can you get for an i8 roadster?

I might have to go back to work full time now I have seen this

I agree it's a thing of beauty but would I go back to work?

I would never call that a thing of beauty. To me the whole i8 styling is a  confused mess

You're never going to impress you're mates playing 'pub Car Top Trumps'  when you tell them you've got a 3 cylinder 1.5 Engine, regardless of cost or horsepower! Most people's Gran's have bigger engines than that :p

They do shift but I doubt they sound as nice as a Westie on full chat!

Based on my experience of driving the crazy powered Tesla car, I expect the i8 to be as equally bland  to drive too.

Bloke in the works carpark has one with a roof. Had it matt wrapped black. I am unsure on the skinny tyres on them . Looks so odd. Was thinking about an i3 for the current wife, until she got a new job which needs motorway travelling and more distance.

Correct response @IanK (Bagpuss), even though it dashed my dreams, I am doing the right thing enjoying my Westfield and working part time then?

I agree David, but I suspect we are both fortunate enough to own "proper things of beauty" :d:d:d

The whole i8 seems a bit of a paradox as when they are tested the MPG is way below the manaufactures figures by a very significant amount. Costs a fortune as well, mind doesn;t come bottom of the Which reliability survey like the Tesla

Before I retired the company had the coupe as a trade exhibition car, with the addition of a little vinyl. I took it to the NEC and borrowed it for the odd weekend. It looked nice in my garage, but is it as nice as the, work in progress, Westfield?

I agree with others, apart from the scissor doors, which amazed everyone, the thin tyres and 3 cylinder motor let's it down. Inside, apart from the good dashboard, blue in comfort and red in sport mode it was like most other BMW's The noise was OK in sport mode as it played through the speakers, blipped the throttle and popped and crackled going down the gears.

Sorry Julie, I remember the BMW warranty terms mentioned no cakes inside the car as it messed up the complicated electronics, and absolutely no ice cream.

If I had the money would I buy one, no, there are better cars around for that sort of money.

Sorry I’ve been a bit slow posting but really pleased with all the help I’ve had when I needed support. First fit of body, exhaust hole and passenger side panel next. Still on target for a spring Iva but pretty cold in the garage.
