Er, no. Anything north of Watford is "the north". Anything south of the River (Thames) is swamp or marsh-land :getmecoat:

From where I am, anything over the river Nene is "oop north" and requiring a passport, and anything over the river Ouse is " dahn sarf" and also requiring said passport!

Anyhoo, I'm off to stick some more wood in the log burner....:getmecoat:

Wife (latest)  mentioned about lighting the open fire soon as the temperatures on the weather forecast showing under 10 deg in the evenings,last night. I chose to ignore it, which she should be used to, as I ignore most things she says

Then there's west of Oxford and east of Barking being uncharted lands... In fact almost anywhere more than twenty miles outside the M25.

My mums staying with us this week as she's broken her elbow.
