AllanI Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Smooth peanut butter works well as a "Back to Black". Needs to be fresh though otherwise it goes a bit too solid. Lasts quite well, I guess it's the nut oil. Allan Quote

Best way for bird lime or seagull siht is to remove any wet stuff with a moist cloth . If it is stuck on, the use a wet cloth to soften and wipe off. Remember that bird lime on paint will disfigure the finish. I dont know how it will affect gelcoat, but by sealing and waxing it, will stop it penetrating, as long as you clear it off quickly. Most bird lime is safe , but when they eat acidic berries, then it becomes a paint destroying monster. As for cow poo, then either avoid hitting it or get some snowfoam. Its quite cheap off ebay and use a garden sprayer and dilute. Soak it for a while and then hose it off. If the surface is sealed/ waxed it will help to prevent it from sticking . Snowfoam is a great product. If you believe washing a car by just rinsing with a hose and then sponging it off, it still leaves the grit on the panels. By wiping it , will start the swirl and scratch issues. Snowfoam wlll lift the dirt from the surface and allow you to hose/ power wash off. Then you can wash the car with a proper wash mitt , which if used correctly will not harbour grit like a sponge, which the sponge in time will become like sandpaper. It may sound a bit OTT, but if it means you want a car that shows less scratches and you want to spend less time having to correct these and more time driving a shiny car. Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I have used snow foam for years and I also have a snow foam lance. Brilliant product and easy to use. Quote

This may look fantastic and , i do wash my normal cars with this , but using a garden sprayer does a similar job , but with a jet wash and to cover the non- water tight Westie and makes less of a snow scene about it. Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I snowfoam the pickup, and tbh, my drive does look a bit like the picture above: I'm well aware I use more than necessary, I just love the stunned look of amazement on the neighbours faces! The pickup look like some kind of 5 metre long marshmallow once you get a nice thick layer of foam on there. Quote
