A great day out and thanks as usual to @Julie Hall - AO Representative, Peak District AO leading us on a great run. If anyone wants the high res photo of any of above, just send me a PM. Had good discussions with the friendly Speed Series Competitors and they even took time out of their busy schedule to come and have a look at our cars!

A most excellent day out, full of Westfields, starting off watching the sprinting at Curborough. There were Trevturtle, IanK, Paul Hammond(VX220), Gail and Ali, Alan, Chris and Dave. Conversation was only interrupted when a Westfield went past on the track and everyone went 'lens up'

After receiving some good advice about my lambda sensor and the more important subject of how to navigate by sex shops. @AndrewBClarke you should have been there, Sex Shop Rob was mentioned. Curborough is difficult to find and the A38 all looks the same, but if you come from the North, like me, you just take the turning after the sex shop, easy. Like when we used to meet at the sex shop for the Horsepower at the Hall. No-one forgets where the sex shops are.

Moving quickly on, cake time, I mean lunchtime was fast approaching, so we gathered together for Ian to take our photo as we left, which was mighty kind of him. Dave, Chris, Alan, Ian and me headed into the Peak District, to end up at The Tea Junction in Hulme End. We could all have had single seater cars today. Chris commented that when we turned onto the smaller, back roads, he thought 'here we go, she's leading us straight into cow poo land again' True to some extent, but it is all dried up and the cars stayed clean, thankfully.

We had lunch, followed by cake, lemon curdy cake for me, oh heaven, then some free flapjack for being good customers, then more tea. All this allowed time for the conversation to head downhill, as it usually does, Ian had us in stitches with his 'taxi' stories. To think, I went in his car last time we were out, if I only had known!!

I think this lot are looking for Glen, you won't find him there, he is with his glove in the lost property box

Thanks for coming everyone and thanks to the Speed Series guys for making us welcome when you probably have a lot going on.

If you squint and face the other way with your hand over your eyes...

To be honest, one look from any direction and the proportions didn't look right, quite apart from a virtually stock Toyota dash

It looks like it's been squashed lol. But it is missing quite a few large details from the front like the big splitter oh and I've never seen an f40 with that much ground clearance

You should have seen the exhaust at the back!

(I hadn't actually seen the front till I saw Ian's photos!)

A novice approaching the Molehill on his first run, he blamed the throttle sticking opening, managed a 360  to set at time of 68.74, final run throttle stuck open in same place....Meanwhile he managed a 59.81 on his first timed run not pushing the throttle down as hard......

It's worth going to these Curborough meets just to watch the orange and black busa turbo go around :t-up:

What a machine that is:angry:

Absolutely, mind you, in this company, I can help but apologise! With only a Willy Westfield hat on, I do feel I'm letting the side down in the headware department. Between Ninja Trev, Ian's Walking Dead tuby/bandanna type thing and yours and Gail's and Julie's posh hats I feel like I ought to just hide at the back ;)

Glad to see you all had a great time, shame we missed it:cry:

However we have had free deserts here too together with free wine and shots so we are not too sad:d:d
