No - but then once I got mine and realised it would probably last far longer than three £10 umbrellas that get thrown away after a gust of wind, I changed my mind pretty quickly.  As you're local, if you want to take a look at my umbrella first, just let me know and you can pop over and see it.

 

It's also a bit like the difference between a cheap pen and an expensive pen - you take a lot better care of an expensive pen, you make sure you don't lose it, and it lasts you much longer.

In this case, you really do get what you pay for. It's a lot cheaper than a branded golf umbrella of the same quality.

There are cheaper ones about, but I'm guessing that given the low volumes these are produced in its about the cheapest they can be.

I got one last time around and it does a reasonable job of covering the whole cockpit - last time I used mine was as a sun shade just outside St Tropez - happy days
