D7PNY
Awoken this morning by the news that the garage my westfield was at to have some work done has gone up in smoke in the early hours of this morning Not had damage confirmed but car was parked up on a ramp in the workshop that has suffered a significant fire! Spent a small fortune getting the car how I wanted and it had rewarded me by being a bl00dy quick little car so for it to potentially be destroyed is gutting Garage owners unable to get near building so unconfirmed but fearing the worst for obvious reasons... This was the workshop my car was in... Marked in yellow where it was sat on ramps... Going by the state of what was a new roof I can only fear the worst for the car and the 'fun' that will follow to get a cheque for it! Regardless of the outcome I dare say it won't be looking as good as this anymore... Dave

D7PNY
Thanks guys. Absolutely gutted. Hopefully I get a fair value for it from garage insurers but never get back the time and full cost to get it to the spec it was Just paid £400 for new clutch and flywheel that was sitting in car! New starter motor, timing belt, water pump also fitted by garage whilst engine out to sort rear oil seal! I have taken screen shots of a couple of cars on pistonheads to try and evidence the value of mine should I need to.

I was clinging on to the thought that it might have escaped the worst of it until I saw the news showing the latest
XTR2Turbo
Hopefully I get a fair value for it from garage insurers but never get back the time and full cost to get it to the spec it was Sorry to see this. Looked like a nice xjs in the first photo also. I think that I would be notifying my insurance company also. It is quite possible the business has public liability and building insurance but not contents.
TableLeg
That's really bad, gutted for you. I can only hope your claim with your insurer is quickly resolved and to your satisfaction.

Strange conversation along the lines of "I think I need to report a potential claim". Figured it was safer letting them know straight away just in case.
