New westfield anybody else got the email from WSC today? Focus ST engine  :)

Posted

Yep I had one today, Simon also showed it me couple of weeks ago.

It was only in a chassis being mocked up, hard to believe it would be ready for autosport but sounds like it's going to be a good bit of kit at 250bhp out the box.

Yep, it's the Ecoboost 2.0 based car they told us about, and showed us the engine for at the last open day.

I saw the power graphs today from the Ford Racing ecu, ye gods, I don't think you put petrol in it, just top up the delithium crystals every so often!!!

And it's still readily upgradable from there....

Looking forward to seeing the photos - if I ever build another, it'll have to be this!

:d

As I said in the other two threads :p:d Yes, sort of! They were showing the engine, 2.0 litre Ford Ecoboost and discussing the way forward with it, at the last open day. It is the first time I've heard the name, and I'm pleasantly surprised to see the model so close to being with us!

I gather from one of the other threads they've been showing anyone who's been to the factory recently, the progress that's been made.

 I had the same thought, but then when the Mega S2000 was launched a few initially thought it was a hoax, (it was suspiciously close to April) as the very first press release photo showed an old promo shot of, IIRC a red Megabusa.

Does the new car use the v8 bonnet too?

Sounds fantastic but the price is a bit of a jump! you can buy a brand new Focus ST for less money!
