How about a pick up??

I have the Ford Ranger Wildtrak

No BIK / company car tax etc and you can claim back the VAT.

If you are a Ltd company, you can also buy it on the company using company money rather than buying it with personal money. This works out awfully well if your circumstances suit

My wife is about the buy her second Yeti TDI and my daughter in law has one 4 years old, all been faultless with after sales service far better than BMW and MB, ( especially MB ).

My neighbour also well into his 70s with memories of the original Skoda's approached me about buying a Yeti to replace his aging Audi Allroad used to tow his large caravan down to the South of France every summer. Even after purchase he thought the Yeti would not be up to the job. He rang me from France some month later amazed how he often forgot he was towing and achieving 45MPG.

I've tried Yetis before, appreciate people love them, but I'm not a fan...

Mondeo 4x4 Titanium X Estate with adaptive cruise control.

Superb dynamically, enormous load area, great cabin and spec, fabulous towing vehicle......what's not to like, unless you're a badge freak.  :)

X5 BMW is fab, winter tyres good option though. Quick and good handling for size. Expensive but a no contest to our previous diamond spec Outlander, or the shogun!

I must admit, I had one as a hire car when I was in Ireland a few weeks back (FWD Saloon). Lovely car to drive and hustle along the back roads. The interior felt a bit low rent compared to the Golf though  - little things like no touch screen etc.

Titanium X has big colour touch screen. Guess hire car was low spec base model.

I tow with a Kia Sportage KX3 and it does a good job. Has loads of kit inc cruise. Think they go for approx £23k

May try the Sorento next.

I really like and rate the Volvo XC60 or a BMW X5 40d
