Yeah, and the portrait in the attic is looking pretty rough as well.

Ooooh so many references to go for...

I have always had a soft spot for the UU and the Bursars Dried Frog pills...

Ook

I always liked the way the dynamic between Ridcully and the Bursar was written; made you wonder if perhaps the Bursar had a few more lucid moments than perhaps he let on...

Oh dear, gone and made myself feel quite sad in a nostalgic sort of way, that there'll be no more UU, the Watch has pulled its last shift and Granny Weatherwax is off "a borrowin'"

Agreed...

Always felt a connection to Vimes, Carrot was the right guy in the wrong place / time and Angua... She could have gone 50 Shades on me any time...

I always liked the books that featured the Watch.

Sigh...

Yeah, the Watch books have always been my favourites.Again, Vimes was a character that some how you felt close too/identified with some how. Plus, being AM based (at least in part), they often had some UU content.

My favourite to this day is still The Fifth Elephant, TP's obsession with AM somehow reflecting "modern" technologies hadn't got quite so into every nook and cranny, plus the dynamic and the tensions between the characters of Vimes, Cheery, Angua and Carrot were still a little raw and not so settled as later books.
