Asterix Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 SOLD *Video added from last visit to Northampton Motorsports For sale, my Westfield SE independent suspension – originally built from kit by previous owner in Summer 1996. I bought the car around 2007 and somewhere in the house I have copious amounts of original paperwork – instructions, registration correspondence, etc. This can be provided for review before sale if necessary. The engine is from a Vauxhall Corsa GSi (1.6 16v, x16xe/ c16xe - the differences between the 2 original engine specs aren't fundamental) currently producing around 184bhp at the flywheel. The induction roar is lovely, beyond that it's utterly ballistic until over 8000, when the dash warning lights indicate change. The car was stripped and rebuilt, completing Q2 2014, since which the car has covered road only miles. The entire car was stripped, the chassis was reinforced with additional tubing, chassis and cage repowdercoated/ repainted, new lightweight bodywork was fitted, new carbon panelling installed (dashboard, tunnel top and sides, rear bulkhead/ front bulkhead), new racing battery, new lightweight seats, engine bay undertray were fitted. In 2018, car spent time at Westfield factory undergoing factory service, exhaust repack and headlight change. Selling because I just don't use it enough and it's time to move on. It weighs 509.5kg, corner weights are unavailable. Pictures are a couple of years old, the only additions have been "wing" mirrors and a wide angle Longacre central mirror on the cage. The only other change is that trailing edge of bonnet on drivers side has had a chip repaired (so now it's as good as new). Price is £12,000. Breaks my heart to say this, but you could strip and sell for more if that is your wish. Am located in Derby. Call/ text me on 07968 184107, email me on peter.cox@heavenlyz.com (Boardroom PM will not be best way to get hold of me). Test drivers will need to prove fully comprehensive insurance on this car. Apologies to those who were interested last year, am unsure of your contact details. This advert edited 7th January 2019, so comments below - if different - are superseded by details above.
theprisioner Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Hi, I need all up weaigh (corner weights would be nice) also how much?
AdamR Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 What a beautiful piece of kit - potential buyers, don't just look at the headline figures; the combination of power, gearing and weight will make this a very surprisingly quick car, with lots of very expensive bits on it...! 1
Asterix Posted January 7, 2019 Author Posted January 7, 2019 Am unsure if editing a topic bumps it up again, so "bump". Happy 2019 all
jimbobtcc206 Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Lovely car and nice spec. I wanted this car late 2017 but it wasn’t available at the time I was in the market so I bought a different one. It is a beauty and I’m sure won’t hang around on track. Good luck with the sale Peter.
