SootySport
Turn the clock back to the 1960's please------------------- Cars were easier to fix then. Petrol was 1/6 a gallon. Girls wore Mini Skirts. No such thing as Political Correctness. Exceeding the 70mph limit was a target. Hit the other guy back even harder than he hit you. Thought this would make the youngster chuckle and maybe the Baby Boomers like me add to the list.

And I'm sure petrol was 4/11 a gallon, or 5 bob with a shot of Redex. That must be after the Arabs and Israelis kicked off, or would it have been Suez? But the music and the cars were far better

I was too young to chase the ladies but yep miniskirts free love etc. If you thought it was great you probably weren't there. I was more a late 60's-70's myself which were good. Thought this would make the youngster chuckle and maybe the Baby Boomers like me add to the list. Cars were easier to fix because you had to, often! Drive a Mini through a puddle and it would stop after 10 yards. Regular de-cokes. 100,000 miles on the clock was looked upon in awe and avoided like the plague. No cycling on the footpath which was enforced by the local bobby with a clip round the ear. Corporal punishment in school and respect for teachers; Borstal; The Birch on The Isle of Man. A British motorcycle industry; British Motor Corporation; British Steel; steam trains. An end to US dominance of the music charts. Beatlemania. Ten quid would get you and your family to Australia. And those mini skirts

jeff oakley
Common decency Respect for each other Punishment that fitted the crime Less people employed to protect villans. more employed to bang em away. When men were real men. No global warming crap No cars being seen as evil When education was valued by rich and poor When the sense of pride was everything When hero's were not a footballer or a singer.
