TAFKARM Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Ooof, looks bad Matta - wouldn't mind reading the thread on that? What happened? Get away unharmed? Quote
Martin Keene Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Following on from Marto303's example of what not to do to a Westie, some of you may remember my attempt a couple of years back. Unfortunately a rebuild wasn't really an option! Before (hours before).... ...and to prove that Westfields, rain, an oil slick and trees don't mix..... Got another one 3 months later and 6 months after that my wife spoke to me again! Matt Is that Windy's old car? Quote
XTR2Turbo Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Yes it is Windy's car. I recall that accident was a while back now. Quote
Matta Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Yes it was Windy's car originally and it really was a cracker - none of my cars since have come close to it. Happened during the Scottish group's Applecross trip in 2011 and I came out of it much better than the car did but I can safely say it wasn't my weekend. I bought back the salvage and a number of parts found new homes in Westies all over the country I'm glad to say! Matt Quote
Kingster Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 OK, so I know it's not finished, but here's my journey... I started with this (yes, it isn't a Westy, but the full Sierra donor is in the back of the car, so counts towards the build!) then saw the light and went to this on 7th June 2014: and is now at this stage: 1 Quote

Nicks100 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 4 years ago. 3.9L with 157BHP and horrible tyres... but gorgeous wheels Then add these little beauties... And after some major engine work... its now 4.6L with 320BHP Now only needs a roll cage, ARB and professional set up! 1 Quote
