AdamR Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 Sorry Lawrie, just realised I didn't get back to you today! I've just got home but assume you placed an order - thank you. Kevin, will have a look at PMs now, thanks. Quote
TAFKARM Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Thanks Adam, arrived this morning! Frustratingly I am away with work this week so cant give it a real go, but it looks like a good bit of kit for the money! Quote
AdamR Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 Great stuff, thanks for letting me know Haha, I think they call that the law of sod, new toys and you can't play with them! Quote
TAFKARM Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Adam - your inbox is full but my question may help others anyway. Is the basic Hero compatible with an external mic? If so, what exactly do i need to get up and running with one, and what mic would you recommend at the "budget" end of the scale? Quote
AdamR Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 Oops, sorry, cleared out now! The basic Hero doesn't mention it's compatible with an external mic, but it does have the USB port into which the adaptor would go on the other cameras... I would anticipate it doesn't support an external mic though, else GoPro would mention it. They do make a point of stating the Silver and Black are external mic compatible. Someone mentioned battery life earlier on, the GoPro published estimations for the Hero are as follows: 1080p 30fps - 2h45mins 720p 60ps - 2h30mins 720p SuperView 60ps - 2h30mins The Silver and Black editions are much more varied in this department due to the extra functionality, but there is info here: http://shop.gopro.com/EMEA/cameras/hero4-silver/CHDHY-401-master.html#tab2 and here: http://shop.gopro.com/EMEA/cameras/hero4-black/CHDHX-401-master.html#tab2 In case those links don't work properly, you would need to hit the 'Technical Specs' tab and scroll down about 2/3rds of the way. CraigHew Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 You haven't mentioned the GoPro White. I like the features it has (inc WiFi) for its price point. How much can you supply a white plus the remote wrist strap for? CraigHew Quote
jmad Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Hi Adam I'm interested in the White but see your showing it as unavailable, will any more be coming in or have I missed that boat? Thanks Jonathan Quote
AdamR Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 You haven't mentioned the GoPro White. I like the features it has (inc WiFi) for its price point. How much can you supply a white plus the remote wrist strap for? CraigHew Craig - sorry I missed this! The Hero3 White is a bit of a funny one - I'd not anticipated anyone would want one with the 'new' 4 being available, so have run stock right down, but can still get them. The are currently out of stock with no ETA though unfortunately. One of those with a wrist strap / housing would come to £176.69 with your discount. Would you like me to try and get a 3 White in for you? Any more questions, please ask. Again, sorry for my late reply. Hi Adam I'm interested in the White but see your showing it as unavailable, will any more be coming in or have I missed that boat? Thanks Jonathan Hey Jonathan - we've had some on back order and they are showing with estimated availability today, so they should be back in stock any time now If you like I can set the system to fire you an email once they are in? I'd just need your email address please (probably best sent in a PM to avoid it being picked up by some kind of spam system). We also got Black Editions in today too (due on our site tomorrow), so I think the importers have had a drop in the last few days. Cheers! Adam Quote
indybird Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Hi ordered a hero 4 silver thanks for the email and pm looking forward to using it, cheers sean Quote
AdamR Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 No worries - thanks Sean. That will be going out today to get to you tomorrow all being well. Any probs, questions etc at any point feel free to give me a shout Thanks again, Adam Quote
jmad Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Hi Adam, any more news on the White's. I did get an email to say you had added me to the list but just wondered if you knew when you were expecting them. Thanks Jonathan Quote
AdamR Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 Hi Jonathan, At the moment our supplier isn't showing an ETA unfortunately, sorry! Cheers, Adam Quote
jmad Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 As it doesn't look like the White is an option, I have been looking at the Hero, but am worried about the lack of Wifi. Can anybody that has used a gopro type camera comment on if Wifi is a must. I'm thinking more about watching it back when out and about. Is there any way to get it downloaded to a Iphone without wifi? Quote
Mark Williams Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 The simplest way to get the footage directly from a non WiFi-enabled GoPro to your iPhone would be via a wireless card reader. This one below offers much more than that and is compatible with the current version of iOS, but there are other more basic models available at a lower price point: http://www.amazon.co.uk/RAVPower%C2%AE-FileHub-3000mAh-Internal-Battery/dp/B00AQUMZRA/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1416428346&sr=1-2&keywords=wireless+card+reader Quote
harrypotter Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I just plug my go pro into my iPad with the lead supplied and the iPad USB adaptor. Simple and fast. Well, simple anyway (Old iPad and old go pro). Quote
