Marto303 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Well it seems like a long time since the Blyton weekend so I am ( again ) really looking forward to getting back out at Mira on Saturday, hope the weather can hold ( you all know my reputation for bringing the rain with me ) as my last visit to Mira was on a very very very wet day. Should be fun learning to take the right hander at the control tower in top gear ( as I'm assured I need to ) to knock the 11s off my time set in the wet and push on towards the class B target time With Keith, Pete G, David and Mark in my N2 class on the day there'll not even be a sniff of an award this time, I'll just have to settle for fifth out of 5 The Silver bullet ( number 108 ) has had a major check over and oil change since being thrashed to within an inch of it's life all weekend at Blyton and is holding together remarkably well Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday Martin 2 Quote

Terry Everall Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I can tell you how to drive it but you need to brave in a few places and close your eyes! And avoid the cones like the plague! 1 Quote

John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Better to close your butt cheeks rather than your eyes Quote
johnev Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm bringing the electric car back to MIRA. Last time, in the wet, my extra weight (850Kg) stopped the car from aquaplaning so my times were good. This time out I've removed the windscreen and some other stuff saving about 35Kgs in total - still way too heavy! Leave the rain at home Martin - see you there. Quote
