Quinten
Seems Scholar no longer supplies their short sump, so in order to save a few pennies, if anyone has a short shump, or knows of one at a cost less than a Race-Line, then please contact me! Quinten
I'm calling Dunnell tomorrow as well, NMS did not want to deal with them for whatever reason, but were happy if I made the enquiries. Have also asked them to quote for a 'DIY' short sump, but suspect that the labour involved negates any savings on the part itself

Quinten
Confused... it's shorter, yet still not short enough? Or doesn't it fit?
KugaWestie
Not a Zetec specialist, but Shorter front to back, not height is my guess as the 1.8 is a smaller engine
Quinten
That would make sense then
CL290005
Gary Just shows you do not know zetec 1.8 will fit a. 2.0 and silver top sump will fit blacktop . Pick up pipe I believe is different between silver and blacktop
Young Pretender
Is your zetec a blacktop or silvertop? Black tops are two part sumps and the price difference between the Dunnel and raceline are negligible. Think it was about £30 diff by the time discours were offered. Sorry just noticed thread tittle

Ok I'll make my post clearer A 1.8 sump will fit a 2.0ltr and give you an extra 30mm ground clearance, you will need the 1.8 pick up pipe also I ran my original car in that set up for years with no problems. Scolar used to sell them off quite cheap cos they took them off the Formula Ford engines so they could dry sump them. HTH
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO
Heres a couple of pics of a Raceline sump next to a 1.8ltr sump. I'm sure I've got a pic of a 1.8 sump alongside a 2.0ltr sump but I took it about 14 years ago and I'm struggling to find it
Quinten
Called Scholar and they are unable to supply for another 5-6 weeks at least. Dunnel produces on a weekly basis and I just missed last weeks, so earliest I can get one from them is middle/late next week and it would be £309 (all inc) + £110 surcharge until they receive my sump back. Tiger has immediate stock and would cost £262.80 (all inc) but looking at pictures on 't interweb they are not baffled and I've seen at least 1 horror story on the forums of someone who suffered of oil starvation on a roundabout. Raceline sump is at least £500...
